For example, many people wake up with blood sugars in their target range. It’s better to look at that one time period for a few days to verify a pattern before looking at another time period.

Identify the Parts Working Well

It’s easy to get a quick snapshot of how you are doing with your overall diabetes management. First, you wake up and check your blood sugar. Then you check again before lunch. If you wake up in your target range and are in the target range before lunch and feeling well, then whatever you are doing in between is more or less working.
